Model dan Strategi Pembelajaran PAI Berbasis Digital dalam Membangun Moderasi Beragama: Studi Kasus di MTsN 3 Pamekasan

The digital transformation presents a paradox in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), expanding access to knowledge while simultaneously exposing students to unfiltered religious content that risks eroding religious moderation. Islamic schools operating within pesantren environments, such as MTsN 3 Pamekasan, face the dual challenge of preserving traditional scholarly authority while responding to the digital dynamics of the younger generation. This qualitative case study, employing observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, aimed to identify digital-based PAI learning models and strategies for fostering religious moderation. Findings reveal that the school has developed a layered digital ecosystem where teachers act as curators of content infused with wasathiyyah values. Key pedagogical strategies include guided discussions based on digital content, virtual collaborative projects, and critical reflection on online narratives. The principal outcome is the formulation of the Digital Wasathiyyah Bridge Model, an integrative three-stage framework (curation, dialogic activation, and contextual reflection with bridging) that uniquely connects pesantren heritage with digital realities. Positive student responses indicate the model's effectiveness in enhancing conceptual understanding and critical attitudes toward online religious information. The study concludes that strategically integrating digital tools into PAI, underpinned by appropriate pedagogy, serves as a potent instrument for strengthening religious moderation in the digital age.
